Suominen has unique piloting and testing possibilities and excellent know-how in a variety of fibers.

Our key assets are our piloting facilities in Windsor Locks, US and Nakkila, Finland. By leveraging our piloting technology and know-how, we are able to develop solutions for various needs in collaboration with our partners.

“With our piloting facilities, we can give our customers an early access to innovative solutions by providing samples and prototypes ahead of large-scale production. Our approach is to make the transition from trials to commercial production as seamless as possible,” says Pramod Shanbhag, VP, Innovation & Technology.

The pilot lines also enable experimentation and iterations. “We can do tests on a smaller scale before committing to full-scale production. This approach not only minimizes risk but also fosters innovation by encouraging experimentation with unconventional ideas that may not typically be pursued on commercial lines,” says Shanbhag.
