Change of the President and CEO of Suominen Corporation

SUOMINEN CORPORATION    STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 3 APRIL 2008 AT 2.00 P.M.        


CHANGE OF THE PRESIDENT AND CEO OF SUOMINEN CORPORATION                         

Suominen Corporation's President and CEO Kalle Tanhuanpää will leave the Company
to join another company. He will continue as President and CEO of Suominen      
Corporation until 30 April 2008 and remain at Suominen's disposal until 16 May  
2008.                                                                           

Suominen's Board of Directors has today appointed Mr. Petri Rolig (44), M.Sc.   
(Eng.), the Company's new President and CEO as of 1 May 2008. He has been Vice 
President and General Manager of Suominen Flexible Packaging since August 2006. 
Previously he has held a position of R&D Director at Huhtamäki and served Stora 
Enso as Vice President of extrusion coating and converting operations. Mr.
Petri Rolig will continue as General Manager of Suominen Flexible Packaging
until further notice.
