Suominen has been awarded a Gold Medal from its 2025 EcoVadis assessment

Suominen has taken part in the EcoVadis assessment in 2025 for the fourth time and received a Gold Medal for the second consecutive year. The result places Suominen in the top 2% of companies in the manufacture of other textiles industry and in the top 2% of all companies in all industries rated by EcoVadis.

EcoVadis is a global leading corporate social responsibility rating provider. The EcoVadis assessment rates corporate sustainability on four themes: environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Its methodology is based on internationally recognized principles and standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, and the ISO 26000 standard.

Compared to last year, we were able to improve points in all four themes: environment, labor & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The improvements were primarily the result of newly implemented policies. According to EcoVadis, Suominen demonstrates an advanced sustainability management system that covers all four themes under review.

“Maintaining a gold level in this year’s assessment is a result of continuous improvement of our sustainability work and shows that sustainability really is at the core of both our strategy and all daily operations. We continue to further improve our sustainability work and corporate social responsibility based on these results,” says Charles Héaulmé, President and CEO of Suominen.
