Suominen Sustainability & New Fiber Seminar was a great success
Suominen has a strong background in R&D and sustainable fibers. On that basis, Suominen held a Sustainability & New Fiber Seminar in Nakkila on February 28 – March 1, 2023. The Seminar gathered around fifty participants from across the nonwoven production value chain. The Seminar was a remarkable success, receiving over the top feedback.

The seminar program included a visit to the Suominen piloting facility, where the participants attended a piloting demo with Bast Fibre Technologies’ sero™ hemp fibres. The participants also got a chance to visit Suominen’s brand-new Green Lab, where a disintegration test was demonstrated to them.

A dinner at the historic Villilä Manor concluded the Seminar’s first day, giving the participants an opportunity to network and give their insights on the topics and presentations of the day.
