Open position: Business ICT Specialist - System Administrator

Location: Nakkila, Finland

To support our “Changemaker”- strategy and vision "We change the way people think about nonwovens" Suominen will strengthen its resources in ICT function. Business ICT Specialist maintains ICT operations as well as implements and supports computer hardware and software. Gives key IT support for the site and personnel and provides problem resolution in accordance with the Suominen’s policy and procedures.

Main accountabilities

Your main accountabilities in the job will be to

  • Configure the set-up and support of computers, servers, and communication equipment
  • Assist in any required network/systems diagnostic and upgrade(s) for the site.
  • Execute application maintenance for the local business applications.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of documentation (hardware, software, network, and problem logs).
  • Act as liaison with service providers, vendors and other teams for project coordination, team communication, and issue resolution.
  • Perform ICT related projects and duties as assigned
  • Identifying process improvements and implementing approved changes as needed.


You will report to Nicolas Picchi, Infrastructure Service Manager.

Qualifications and competences

You have computer science or data processing educational background and minimum three to five years experience from ICT tasks in global environment.

You have knowledge and experience of

  • Microsoft Operating Systems and networking concepts
  • Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
  • network switches, routers and related networking equipment
  • Structured Cabling Systems
  • Midrange Computers / Servers in a networked environment
  • implementation/roll-out process of industrial business applications (SAP/TIPS)
  • deploying and managing Windows domains
  • VMware environment

You have strong interpersonal and customer service skills and you enjoy working with multi-cultural professional teams and individuals.

You have good time management and multitasking skills with the ability to efficiently distribute effort among various assignments and duties and complete projects with critical deadlines.

You are fluent in both written and spoken Finnish and English. Other language skills will be an asset.
