Nonwoven processes
We manufacture nonwovens with two different technologies.
Hydroentanglement
- Hydroentanglement is a manufacturing process that employs jets of clean water to entangle fibers and thereby provide fabric integrity. No chemical binders are needed. This results in a very soft and textile like nonwoven with excellent drape and conformability. Because of their unique lace-like quality they are also known as spunlaced nonwovens.
- Fibrella® and Biolace® are hydroentangled nonwovens
Thermobonding
- Thermobonding means calendering nonwoven web through heated rollers. Calenders can be smooth faced for an overall bonding, or patterned for a softer, more tear resistant bond.
- Novelin® is our thermobonded nonwoven
