Reduce, reuse, and recycle

Environmental issues are becoming increasingly important for everyone. As a responsible producer, our aim is to provide customers with products that meet their demands while using all raw materials and other resources as efficiently as possible. We also work hard to reduce the amount of energy and water used in our production processes – and we recycle our waste. This way we can put into the practise the three principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle in our approach to the environment.

Environmentally friendly

Suominen offers a range of environmentally friendly solutions. For example Biolace® nonwoven is produced solely from renewable raw materials, and sustainable wiping concepts are the latest addition to our product family.

Unique environmental process

At Suominen Nonwovens certification to the ISO 14001 provides a solid foundation for our operations in terms of enviroment. As part of our ongoing commitment to efficient resource usage, we send our production waste to a boiler plant that co-fires this material with wood chips to generate heat for our production lines and for local homes – and use advanced water treatment systems to reduce our water usage and waterborne emissions.
