Microwave is becoming the primary cooking device for healthy living. Health-conscious consumers will welcome steamed foods, which are healthy and will retain more nutrients than steaming on the stovetop.

AmerSteam^TM is a patented laminated film with printed lacquer areas for packaging of frozen and chilled products and suitable for microwave cooking. As the microwave energy heats up the food, moisture inside the package, steam, erupts and builds up pressure. The pressure, steam and microwave energy work together to cook the product quickly and evenly.

Steam pressure opens the bag when the pressure inside the bag is high enough. Traditional opening is not needed before microwave steaming, which shortens preparation time.

AmerSteam^TM is manufactured from PET/PE or OPP/PE laminated films. Special printing inks are needed for printing of design.
