Packaging has an important role to play as environmental consumerism gains momentum. Eco-friendly, sustainable packaging is recyclable, reusable/refillable and made by using minimum amount of raw materials. It can be also made from biodegradable materials if that fits for purpose.

Our 100 % biodegradable AmerBio^TM film is suitable for packaging of tissue products as well as bakery and fresh food, such as vegetables, potatoes and other root crops.

For Suominen Flexibles biodegradability means fulfilling the European standard EN13432 of compostability of plastics. AmerBio^TM is manufactured as semi-transparent or white film.

The biggest advantage of AmerBio^TM is high water vapor transmission through the film. Its other properties are closer to polyethylene material. Packaging of liquid products is not recommended.
